With the help of the sponsors, we have arranged for each of you to receive a donated copy of the book. We would like to present the book to each of you at the reception from 6-8pm.

This will be the only opportunity to pick up your donated copy prior to the new year.

Should a player not be able to attend, please send a family member in their place. We will not release your book to anyone else.

About the book: In Team Players, A Perfect Celtic Season, Mark Astrom investigates notions of American identity, through sports and looks to understand “America’s Game” in relation to contemporary culture. Through the fall of 2010, Astrom traveled with the Trinity Catholic High School football team as the team campaigned toward what could conclude as a perfect season. The resulting pictures reveal with candid clarity the realization of a Team’s dream.

The 10x8 hardcover book, with jacket, includes 105 color images is edited by Mathew Astrom, with a forward by Charles Traub and an introduction by Gregory Kosc.

About the author: Mark Astrom was born in Miami, Florida in 1977. He received a BA in Economics and Studio Arts from Gettysburg College and a MFA in Photography from The School of Visual Arts in New York where he studied with Charles Traub, Stephen Shore and Mitch Epstein.

Astrom’s photographs are in numerous private collections. His other photographic projects include Nudes (2000), Crossties (2002), String Work (2007), and Resaca (2010)

Presently, he is an artist and photographer living and working in Ocala, Florida with his wife, daughter and son.
